EducationVanderbilt University - BA, Cognitive Studies
ExperienceAs a tutor, my experience is in studying and teaching math and English. I graduated from Birdville High School as valedictorian and am currently in the process of completing a bachelor's degree in cognitive studies from Vanderbilt University. I have experience working as a Sunday School teacher and working at a center for deaf children. I am also currently working as a tutor in English language arts and Algebra. I am also comfortable tutoring students in grammar and mechanics, psychology, chemistry, physics, pre-algebra, and social sciences. Additionally, I am fluent in Vietnamese. My success as a tutor stems from my ability to develop a relationship with my students. I am adept at figuring out exactly what a student needs and adjusting my teaching style to meet those needs. I am able to tutor students in a variety of subjects, but I am particularly talented at helping students prepare for tests. I understand the stress and anxiety that tests can cause, and this helps me connect with my students. I believe that every student is capable of succeeding, and it is my priority to do everything I can to help my students reach their goals. In my free time, I like to read, bake, and volunteer.
