Teaching is an art that requires educators to foster an interdisciplinary approach to instruction, bridging connections between different subject areas and concepts. It's also highly important not to just impart information to students, but to teach them how to acquire knowledge on their own. I integrate a mixture of teaching strategies into my approach in order to reach students. I probe and ask questions, stimulate a student's logic, and give guidance to the student until they're able to inquire and come to answers on their own. I also know that each student has their own unique learning style, so I remain attentive to each student's processes in order to adapt my lessons to each individual. This requires patience, understanding, and accessibility, all qualities that I embody as an educator. I forge relationships with students based on trust and comfort so that students feel safe going above and beyond, and taking educational risks on their own. I've taught high school Algebra, Geometry, and Biology. I also tutor a number of other subjects in Mathematics and Science, including Calculus, Trigonometry, Chemistry, and Genetics. I'm also able to work with students to prepare for examinations. In my leisure time, I love outdoor activities, tennis, Bible study, and painting.
